DANCE THEATRE PRODUCTION – OUTCASTE ETERNAL

The Madras Players in association with Vasanthi Sankaranarayanan and Nirmala Seshadri present ‘Outcaste Eternal’, a
dance theatre production, on November 21, 7.15 p.m., at the Museum Theatre, Egmore. ‘Outcaste Eternal’ is based on
the Malayalam novel ‘Brushtu’ by Matampu Kunhukuttan, It depicts the true-life story of the sexual revenge a lone
woman, Paptikutty, wreaks on a whole community (early 1900s), which is rigid, oppressive and anti-woman. Her action
resulted in many social reforms in Kerala. Comprising a cast of 16 actors and dancers, the predominant style of dance is
Bharatanatyam. Kerala folk dance forms are also used. Donor passes (Rs.250 & Rs.150) are available at Shilpi
